En tant que créateur du concept de la ville du 1/4 d’heure, Carlos Moreno a reçu le “Parchemin d’Honneur” 2022 d’UN HABITAT, l’une des récompenses les plus prestigieuses au monde, décerné à celles / ceux qui œuvrent pour l’urbanisme durable.
Il a également été fait ambassadeur de la Fondation Jacques Rougerie qui œuvre pour l’innovation architecturale ainsi que la création artistique liées au monde de la Mer et de l’Espace. En 2023, il rejoint l’Académie Américaine du Logement et des Communautés en reconnaissance de ses “grandes réalisations dans le domaine de la connaissance, de la sagesse et de la pratique urbaine”.
Il a été coopté en 2023 à Sigma Xi, la plus grande société d’honneur scientifique au monde, fondée en 1986 à l’université Cornell de New York et comptant 200 lauréats du prix Nobel parmi ses membres.
Le journal “Politico Europe” considère Carlos Moreno comme l’une des 28 personnes les plus influentes en Europe en matière de développement durable.
Le site américain 2023 “Planetizen” a considéré Carlos Moreno comme le 10ème urbaniste contemporain le plus influent au monde.
Como creador del concepto de “ciudad de 15 minutos”, Carlos Moreno ha sido galardonado con el “Pergamino de Honor” 2022 de ONU-Hábitat, uno de los premios más prestigiosos del mundo para quienes trabajan en favor del urbanismo sostenible.
También ha sido nombrado embajador de la Fundación Jacques Rougerie, que promueve la innovación arquitectónica y la creación artística vinculadas al mundo del mar y del espacio. En 2023 ingresó en la Academia Americana de la Vivienda y las Comunidades en reconocimiento a sus “grandes logros en el campo del conocimiento, la sabiduría y la práctica urbanística”.
En 2023 fué cooptado en Sigma Xi, la mayor sociedad científica honorífica del mundo, fundada en 1986 en la Universidad Cornell de Nueva York y que cuenta entre sus miembros con 200 premios Nobel.

As the creator of the 15-Minute City concept, Carlos Moreno has been awarded the 2022 “Scroll of Honour” by UN HABITAT, one of the world’s most prestigious awards for those working to promote sustainable urban planning.
